JOIN US ON FRIDAYS NIGHTS THIS SUMMER AT THE STERLING Y TEEN CENTER IN BEVERLY, MA FOR SOME PIZZA, INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKERS, VIDEOS AND CO-ED BASKETBALL CLINICS, GAMES AND CONTESTS!

THIS FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 25th 7:00pm-9:00pm - Inspirational message by Eugene Schneeberg - a very special guest and then Pizza and CO-ED OPEN GYM AND SCRIMMAGES! If you plan to come to this event please e-mail doug@easternhoopleague.com ($5 for pizza - pay at door)

About Eugune:
Eugene works in the Boston area mentoring juvenile offenders while they are in lock-up and detention. He will share about his own life and some of the remarkable ways that these kids, through the work he and his organization Straight Ahead does, successfully return to the community after making bad choices in their middle school and high school years.
 
These Friday Night series are on issues that are facing teens in today's world and how to cope with all the pressures and choices that they are bombarded with.

The series will be led by athletes and other inspirational leaders who have a story to tell. After the videos, there will be a short Q/A session for those who wish to discuss what they viewed. The videos will be put online here each week. Following the sessions will be pizza and then CO-ED basketball clinics and games!

     

Here are the details:

  • WHEN: Friday nights from 7:00pm-9:00pm starting June 27th
  • WHERE: Sterling YMCA Teen Center Gym
  • WHAT: A series of videos and speakers about the choices teens face today followed by pizza and CO-ED basketball clinics and games!
  • WHO: Young Men and Women from entering the 7th grade and older through High School seniors!
  • WHY: To equip teens with the ability to make appropriate choices dealing with life's pressures and decisions they face each day!
  • COST: $5 per person for pizza & water

Summer 2008 Dates - Sterling YMCA 7:00pm-9:00pm:

  • Friday June 27th
  • Friday July 11
  • Friday July 18
  • Friday July 25
